Do you need a new place to ring in the New Year this week? Are you tired of the family after Christmas and are looking to drink enough to forget 2015? Or maybe you just want to class things up with your friends while there’s still time left in the year. Whatever you’re looking for, there are a few options across the Valley that will let you kick 2016 off with a bang, so let’s take a look.
Downtown McAllen will be one of the wildest spots to hit up for New Years, and several places will be holding special events to celebrate the occasion. Bar 201 on 17th street will be holding their annual New Years Bash and will feature specials on bottles before 11:00 PM, a countdown and a midnight toast, along with complimentary champagne.
Not much farther, downtown bar Dali will hold their own New Years celebration with live music from DJ Cle, Banda La Autentica and Don Disco. Complimentary champagne and party favors will be given to all that reserve their spots before Thursday.
Chill Out 2015
If the club scene isn’t your thing, there are few more chill options to check out as well. Roosevelt’s at 7 will be open and partying, so go enjoy some craft beers without a cover charge. Indie music venue Yerberia Cultura will also be open New Years Eve with drink specials and a dance party featuring local acts and no cover charge for those over 21.
If you want to class things up, El Divino on North 10th will be holding a six-course meal from their world-renowned chef. Tickets are on sale for $120 with two seating times at 7:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Take Your Pick
Wherever you decide to kick off 2016, there are plenty of options no matter what your scene is. With this guide, hopefully all you’ll have to worry about is that elusive kiss at midnight.
