October will be a great time to visit Port Isabel as the city will host multiple events throughout the month, each perfect for families and individuals alike.
Another Year, Another Pachanga
The city will kick off October by inviting the public to the 5th Annual Pachanga in the Park festival on Saturday October 3rd for a day of family fun and music in what has quickly become one of Port Isabel’s most anticipated events.
The festival will be held at Washington Park and will feature games, contests, great local food, kiddie rides and vendors from across the Valley. Music will also be featured during the event with performances from multiple artists headlined by Los Mejores del Norte and La Xenal.
Festivalgoers can enjoy fun and food ranging from regular fair food to gorditas. Competitive patrons can also try their hand in multiple contests, including a jalapeno-eating contest, dance contests and a grito contest.
The festival will run from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM and will be open to the public with no admission charge. The event is for all ages and families are encouraged to bring their kids to enjoy multiple children’s events.
On Sunday, October 4th, the city will host the Port Isabel Antique & Flea Market at Beulah Lee Park on Highway 100. The market will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM and will feature dozens of vendors and some of the finest antiques in the area.
Shopping Spree at the Lighthouse
If you still want to shop, the historic Port Isabel Lighthouse will host the annual Lighthouse Market Day on Saturday October 10th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The market will feature vendors galore as well as a friendly festival atmosphere.
The fun on the coast does not end once fall hits the beach, so if you’re looking for a great deal on family fun, make sure to visit Port Isabel in October.
