Friday, June 19th 7:00 PM – Midnight | Saturday, June 20th 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
This family-friendly festival aims to raise awareness of sea turtle conservation efforts and raise funds for the organization’s recovery projects. Visitors are encouraged to volunteer for conservation efforts, too! For two whole days, visitors get to enjoy a bit of:
- Live Music
- Silent Auctions
- Great Food
- Kid’s Activities
- Family Fun
Friday evening will start with the Ace Pepper band followed by a hilarious performance by comedian Raymond Orta. The local country stars of Costello will finish off the night’s live performances. It’s not over just yet!
Come enjoy some classic rock, blues and even funk while you check out the silent auction items. Saturday’s activities will feature arts and crafts vendors, more live music, shrimp plates, alcoholic beverages, exhibits, demonstrations, kid-friendly activities and plenty more.
Bi-National Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Project
YappoPalooza honors the memory of Jeffrey “Yappo” Boruff, a dedicated volunteer who made a difference working alongside professionals at the core of the Bi-National Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Project in Rancho Nuevo, Mexico.
As one of the most successful endangered species recovery efforts, the project helped save turtles from the brink of extinction. The project has been ongoing for over four decades and funding is more important than ever before. Show your support at the 5th Annual YappoPalooza festival!
