What: Mission Warriors 5k Obstacle Run

The nonprofit organization Seeds of Hope World Wide Missions invites the community to join them for their Mission Warriors 5K Obstacle Run. This inaugural event will take place on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at the Edinburg Municipal Park starting at 9:00 AM.
Your mission as a warrior is to complete a 5K run and overcome any obstacles that may arise along the way. A children’s obstacle course will also be available for the little warriors in your life! Don’t forget to wear your camouflage gear and paint.
All who complete the race will receive a set of Mission Warrior dog tags and trophies will be given to the top three positions in each age group.
The early entry fee is only $20, or $25 on the day of the event. Click here to register for this obstacle run. The packet pick-up will be at Sports Authority in McAllen on Friday, May 8th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to arrive one hour before the run starts. Seeds of Hope World Wide Missions
Since 2006, this nonprofit organization has provided for the needs of about 40,000 people living in poverty, nationally and internationally. Their work has reached the needy in Houston and its surrounding areas as well as those in Honduras, Belize, Saint Lucia, San Salvador, Haiti and Zimbabwe.
The ministry has worked diligently to meet the needs of homeless veterans, the poor, orphans, boys and girls living in group homes and the elderly in hospice/nursing homes. Through various events like back-to-school and clothing drives, they have supplied the less fortunate with food, clothing, shoes and personal items.
