Calling all Rio Grande Valley craft beer lovers! Starting this Tuesday, April 7th, you can grab a pint of your favorite craft beer or discover new tastes at this year’s Brew-seum Week. For the past seven years, the International Museum of Art & Science (IMAS) has continued to make the annual event better than the last and valley beer enthusiasts couldn’t be happier.
What’s Brewing this Week in McAllen
Brew-seum Week is all about celebrating the culture and community of craft beer while raising funds to help continue the Museum’s mission. Experience the best that the craft brew scene has to offer by checking out any of these events going on throughout the week:
- Tuesday, April 7th, “Brew-seum Bash” – The Flying Walrus will host the Brew-seum Week kickoff party in downtown McAllen, featuring the best in local music and a variety of craft brews. Party start at 7 PM, so don’t be late!
- Wednesday, April 8th, “Battle of the Brew Tap Takeover” – Homebrewers are taking over Grain to Glass in McAllen from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. This is your opportunity to sample the winning brews from this year’s “Battle of the Brew” Homebrewing Competition and enjoy specials on a selection of L&F craft beers.
- Thursday, April 9th, “The Brew-seum Beer Dinner” – Presented by Blue Moon, the beer dinner will be prepared by house. wine. & bistro./SALT chef Larry Delgado at IMAS and will begin at 7:30 PM.
- Saturday, April 11th, 7th Annual “A Night at the Brew-seum” – With over 100 craft beers to choose from, the possibilities for sharing and enjoying the beverages you love are endless. Local eateries will be on hand serving up tasty dishes that pair perfectly with your brew of choice as you enjoy live music from Costello, Marshall Law, the Jolly Huntsmen and Isaac & the Gentlemen.
- Sunday, April 12th, “L&F Beers and Brunch” – Sunday Funday is about to take on a whole new meaning. IMAS will host the ultimate Brew-seum afterparty with live music, local food trucks and lots of leftover beer from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
