Girl Scout cookie season is here and in full force. Troop booths are practically unavoidable as we drive around town, and if you haven’t had your cookie fix, it’s not too late. Since they’re available for a limited time, make sure to stock up on your supply. To find vendors near you, check out the Girl Scout Cookie Finder Mobile App.

Cookie Recommendations from the Girls

We’ve all fallen victim to the charming sales tactics that Girl Scouts use during cookie season. Not that it’s a bad thing! If you really want to support the Girl Scout organization but feel guilty about buying so many boxes of cookies, the girls have a few options for you. For a lower calorie option, try the Cranberry Citrus Crisp. They’re nutritional information includes:

  • 9 grams of whole grain
  • Real fruit
  • No high-fructose corn syrup
  • No artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners
  • 150 calories per 4 cookies

The traditional Shortbread cookies come at only 120 calories per 4 cookies. Looking for some Vegan options? They have that, too! They really did think of everything for all audiences. Their Vegan cookies include Lemonades, Thin Mints and Peanut Butter Patties.

Support a Local Troop

These cuties are from Troop 1096 in Laguna Vista which was founded just 5 months ago. Support them as they compete in the “Bling Your Booth” contest. Their booth theme is all about gardening and they’re extra proud of their decorations. The girls would be more than happy to explain their goals and prospects for the future while fixing you up with your favorite cookies. Come check it out for yourself!

The girls will be selling eight varieties of cookies on the following dates:

  • Saturday, February 7th, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM @ Walmart in Port Isabel
  • Sunday, February 8th, 2015 from Noon – 4:00 PM @ O’Reilley Auto Parts in Port Isabel
