The Hidalgo Christmas Posada is always a hit during the Hidalgo Festival of Lights as it features a special toy drive and live entertainment. This year, come watch Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte perform live at the posada on Wednesday, December 17th. Stay tuned for a star-studded lineup as the evening unfolds. Before the fun ends, posada sponsors like H-E-B, Hermes Music Foundation and local businesses plan to distribute 10,000 free toys to all children in attendance.

Ice Skating

Ice skating is a rare thing to see in the Rio Grande Valley, but it’s on all month long at the Hidalgo Festival of Lights. Come test your skills on the ice at the festival skating rink. The rink is open every day except Christmas Eve, so you have plenty of time to visit.
