Marco’s Burgers & Fries

Marco’s Burgers & Fries, simply put, is a premium burger. Unlike every other burger joint in the world, Marco’s doesn’t use ground beef for their burgers. They raise the bar to an entirely new level by actually grounding fresh ribeye on site to use for their patties. The result is a juicy, flavorful burger that doesn’t disappoint.

Marco’s serves an array of burger choices including the Marco Burger ($8.95) which consists of a burger topped with ham, mushrooms, sliced avocado, jalapeño, bacon and cheese, but I went with a staple: a classic bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions ($6.75). There are two reasons for this: for one I didn’t want so many toppings that it possibly overtook the flavor of the ribeye burger, and secondly, bacon cheeseburgers with grilled onions, when done right, are just really good! And Marco’s version definitely is.

The burger is loaded with grilled onions, cheese, crispy bacon and a 1/3 patty of juicy ground ribeye. In what may be a faux pas to some, I skipped the home cut fries (I know, it’s called Marco’s Burgers and Fries) and opted for their onion rings which turned out to be a great choice. Lightly breaded and fried to perfection, the onion rings were a perfect compliment to the burger.

If that wasn’t enough decadence, I decided to be really naughty and wash it all down with a chocolate shake. When you’re at a place that uses ribeyes for the their burgers, you know they aren’t going to skimp on the ingredients for the shake! The real ice cream shake was a tremendous way to finish up a really good meal!
